GREAT READS

1

We’re a little nerdy for books over here. Here are some of our favourites:

  • The Way of the Psychonaut Volumes 1 & 2 — Stanislav Grof (a classic from one of the masters of expanded consciousness work and founder of Holotropic Breathwork)

  • Consciousness Medicine — Françoise Bourzat (great text on lots of the basics to do with expanded states of consciousness, with a focus on integration)

  • Psychedelic Integration: Psychotherapy for Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness — Marc Aixalà (ICEERS course leader, bridges clinical practice with the lived experience of integration)

  • The Body Keeps the Score — Bessel van der Kolk (trauma and the body, not integration-specific, but foundational)

  • No Bad Parts — Richard Schwartz (Internal Family Systems — useful for anyone doing "parts" work as part of integration)

  • The Wild Edge of Sorrow — Francis Weller (beautiful text on grief as a doorway rather than something to get past)

  • When Things Fall Apart — Pema Chödrön (Buddhist teacher, on staying present and workable when life falls apart rather than rushing to fix or escape it)

WEBSITES & ORGANIZATIONS

2

  • MAPS — Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies; research and education
